rainy days and sundays
we were supposed to practice garet's driving skills today, but with the cloudy skies and endless rain, we decided to stay indoors. it was the perfect opportunity to take pictures of sophia (as if she does not have enough already). this is her facing the glass door looking out into the veranda.

found this photography book at border's yesterday. the tag said it was $3.99 (a very good deal), but after paying at the counter and seeing the price, it was $1. wow! the dust cover was torn, but i can live with it.

while waiting for the water boil, i took a shot of garet's bamboo plants from ikea. i have no idea why i posted it though.

the calm before the storm...... this is one of the rare times when our living room looks like a living room. it is usually filled with sophia and her toys. had to take a picture of it before typhoon sophia comes.

at the barrio fiesta with pinoy friends
a new barrio fiesta restaurant opened at chandler last december 2006 and we decided to check it out. we went after hearing mass and arrived just before 1pm. service was very slow, but eating crispy pata, kare-kare (garet's version is far superior!), pancit palabok, and sisig more that made up for the wait!!!
we will definitely come back, but maybe on weekdays!!!

caught in the act
this was in a paradise valley mall playground. sophia saw the boy and proceeded to hug him. he hugged her back and they eventually ended up on the floor. if this keeps up, we are going back to manila. a.s.a.p.
